The intense heatwave affecting Corsica since the end of last week is expected to persist for at least another two days. According to Météo France, the northern part of the island remains under an orange alert, while southern Corsica is under a yellow alert. Authorities are urging everyone to exercise particular caution, at least until the end of Wednesday, 2 July.

In Haute-Corse (Upper Corsica), maximum daytime temperatures are forecast to range between 32 and 35 degrees Celsius. The heat will also persist overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, with minimum temperatures hovering between 21 and 24 degrees across the department. On Wednesday, temperatures are expected to reach between 31 and 34 degrees.

In Corse-du-Sud (Southern Corsica), maximum temperatures on Monday are likely to be between 32 and 35 degrees across the entire area, potentially rising as high as 37 degrees on Wednesday.
